🎙Featuring | Samer Al Moubayed CEO Furhat Robotics 🤖 – Samer Al Moubayed received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2012 in the area of multimodal speech interaction from KTH The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.

– Since then, he did a shared postdoc at KTH in human-robot spoken interaction, and at the University of Örebro in Cognitive robotics.

– He holds a MSc. degree in Electrical Engineering (Speech technology) from the University of Leuven, Belgium in 2007, and a European Masters in Speech and Language Technology from the University of Edinburgh.

– His research interests include embodied dialogue systems, computational models of turn taking, multimodal facial synthesis, audiovisual prosody, and social signal processing.

– He is the recipient of the 2013 Christian Benoit award for his work on face-to-face communication. Together with colleagues at KTH, he developed the robot head Furhat, which was exhibited at several international venues, speaking with thousands of visitors and featured, among others, on BBC, New Scientist and the Swedish Radio and Television.
